According to a recent Gallup poll, most Americans say that if the price of gasoline gets up to somewhere in the neighborhood of $4 to $6 a gallon, they're going to have to make "major" changes in lifestyle. Driving less, certainly. Buying an electric car, maybe. Shopping less -- definitely.

Well, get ready to make a change, America. In some states -- Hawaii, California, Alaska, Illinois, and Washington, D.C. -- prices have already touched the $4 mark.

There was a station in DC on Saturday that had a posted price for regular gas of $5.39. Gouging?

Looks like national average of $4.00 a gallon is a given by middle of spring.

$4 gas would be bargain in Canada.
I would be happy to fill up with $5 gasoline here in Montreal.

Sure, everyone wants lower prices. If inflation is taken into account, gas is about the same now as it was back in 1972. Nothing is as cheap as it was.

Where is the leadership from our do-nothing but spend president? Oh, that's right, he did state he wants higher gas prices so I guess he's leading the way. Time to vote him out of office in Nov.

So, the way to skirt around rising gas prices is to compare how much more it costs in other countries?! Countries that are more heavily invested in socialism!! I call Bu!!sh!t

Is it me or does it sometimes feel like because you have owned a vehicle and you consume petroleum products and up until a few years ago it was normal. Now its a new day with new leaders from the 60's and you must be punished or made to feel like you are bad because of your consumption.

Extreme's in either direction is not healthy.

Please lets live in moderation and sanity.
