Any one of the Big Oil companies would die to have Apple's market share. Around here, we have seven different significant players in the market (that's counting Phillips 66's ownership of Conoco as a single company, and Chevron's ownership of Texaco likewise). On the other hand, you have Apple. All the other brands of portable music players have 17% of the market, the rest is various iPod models. Similarly, the iPad has 68% of the tablet market and the rest goes to all other tablets. The iPhone (all versions) is in a more competed market and Apple runs about 24% (they jockey back and forth with Samsung for the #1 position).
